Day 6: Favorite Special Episode - Merry Christmas Doctor Who

The somewhat famous Christmas sketch made by the BBC Production team where Mary Tamm (as Romana I) and Tom Baker (as the Fourth Doctor) are celebrating Christmas by having a drink with K-9 before sharing a kiss, then K-9 proceeds to ask the Doctor what he would like for Christmas, upon which he turns to look at Romana affectionally.

It was the first thing that made me ship Four & Romana together (besides Tom and Mary’s wonderful chemistry with each other), solidifying them as my OTP, followed by the Prime Computer commercials later on in the 80s with Lalla Ward as Romana II.

FUN FACT: These were also the first BBC-made Doctor Who production to show the Doctor and his companion in a romantic scenario.
