I’ve been nominated by @tinypoem for the 10-day travel challenge. For the next 10 days, I will post a photo of a building or structure that I’ve has the privilege of enjoying. Day 04: the Four Freedoms Park in Roosevelt Island, NYC, commemorating President Franklin D Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms speech, given in January 1941. They were: freedom in speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. The Park was the last design of Louis I. Kahn, who was commissioned in 1974, but died that year. The park was completed and opened to the public in 2012. It’s a must highlight if you make it to NYC. . . . #travelchallenge #fourfreedomspark #fourfreedoms #fdr #rooseveltisland #nyc (at Franklin D.
