He had already called so he had no way of cancelling the three pizzas and he knew even with the help of his dog, he won’t be able to finish it all by himself. Instead, once the door was knocked and he opened to the delivery boy he made him get in with a polite gesture and smiled. “Sorry, but uh... wouldn’t you mind staying? My friends cancelled on me and I’m afraid if I eat all of that by myself I will be single until my fiftieth birthday.” He smiled, “I mean, if you want. I have games and movies.”

What could he say. He knew there was more to the people he was working for than meets the eye but a job was a job and it wasn’t like he had the money to not work at all. His current job for his employers was to clean out one of the many closets in the building and make sure it was not a shambles as it had been before he had started. With his hoodie sleeves rolled up, he knelt on the floor and scrubbed at the carpet with a sponge. 

Brendon had to admit, he was enjoying getting to try and work in the theatre. While on a break from his book series he wrote a one man play and was now eagerly sitting in while he watched the star of the show he wrote reading lines he’d spent hours typing. He was genuinely giddy that his story of a gay man learning to love himself and accept his sexuality was getting such a good performance and when the reading was over, he happily walked over to the star “Adam... seriously, that was amazing” he said brightly “I never knew those words could sound so good, you just... that was incredible man!”

To be fair on Salem’s behalf, it was late at night and none of the royal family should be roaming around the castle at this hour. He got into the alcohol after a long day of cleaning up after the King and his family; being a loyal servant can be tiring. 

He had decided to settle down in the library for a little while to let the alcohol wear off but someone was in there when he arrived. Salem stopped quick, bumping into the prince. Callum was the most attractive member of the family and Salem had taken a secret liking to him. To find him here in the middle of the night was almost a dream come true for the drunk servant. Who decided to step up to him with a lopsided grin and reached out to touch his arm.
