Sarah Jo Pender, who was 21 at the time of the crimes, was a graduate from Lawrence Central High School in 1997. Richard Hull, her boyfriend (not pictured) worked as a bouncer at a bar. He had a criminal history that included six misdemeanors and two felony convictions.
On October 24th. 200 Richard Hull got into an argument with their roommates, a man and a woman, they both were killed, Sarah Jo alleges that she was not present at the time of the murders.
On August 22, 2002, Sarah Pender was found guilty and sentenced to 110 years in prison. Richard Hull pleaded guilty to avoid trial. His defense was that he had been influenced by Sarah Pender at the time of the murder, which was considered at the time by the court as a mitigating factor. He received two 45 year sentences.
Pender escaped from Rockville Correctional Center, a maximum-security prison 50 miles (80 km) west of Indianapolis, on August 4, 2008, with the aid of prison guard Scott Spitler Sr. (pictured) and former cellmate Jamie Long.
On December 22, 2008, two hours after a rerun of America's Most Wanted, her neighbor identified her and called the Chicago police, who arrested her at her apartment. Although she denied being Sarah Pender for a little while, she did not resist arrest.
Pender was held in solitary confinement at the Indiana Women's Prison in Indianapolis from December 2008 to January 30, 2014, for a total of 1,870 days, or slightly over 5 years. Her current release date from prison is April 4, 2054, when she will be eligible for parole. At that time she will be 75. On January 25, 2018, Pender was transferred back to Rockville Correctional Facility.
Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all three charges. Is it bad that I was holding my breath during the verdict being read? My anxiety was through the roof (still is). I cried up until the verdict was read. It feels surreal that a black man actually got some justice in the court system. As a black woman myself, I get used to things not going the way it should. I’m emotionally drained and sleep cannot fix my kind of tired.
I’m rambling but I’m glad George Floyd’s family got their well deserved justice. It’s a start for the black community, I guess.
The longtime Trump confidant faced the jury Friday in Washington.
Trump’s newest Convicted Felon 😂
A federal jury has convicted longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone of lying to Congress and tampering with a witness about his efforts to learn about the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks release of hacked Democratic emails in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
The panel of nine women and three men deliberated for less than two days before finding Stone, 67, guilty on all seven counts resulting from his September 2017 testimony to a House intelligence committee investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and the Kremlin’s efforts to damage Trump’s Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
“The charge of witness tampering against Stone carries a statutory maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, and the other counts up to five-year terms”
