An excellent assortment of fossils collected from near the Sharktooth Hill formation near Bakersfield, California. The site where these were found is dated at 15.2 million years old, with a 70,000 year range of fossil build up. These fossils were identified to the best of our ability using identification keys and studying other fossils from the area. Keys and information information were provided by the Natural History Museum, and from other prospectors in the area. They all have amazing detail for such small fossils, with a wide range of coloration and mineralization. Makes a great gift or a perfect addition to any collection.
