Le Suquet, an old town, is located in the oldest district of Cannes – Mont-Chevalier and offers to numerous guest of the city an unforgettable panoramique view and a beautiful castle dated by 11th centiry. The main activity at those time was concentrated on the Lerins islands, but because of its insecurity the monks were forced to move to the mainland in the Suquet area. Today you can find there museum de la Castre and many small and cosy restaurants and bars.

Close there you can find a Forville market which offers fresh fruits and vegetables as well as many other local products from farmers. It’s cheap and fresh ! What can be more delightfull than to spend some time is an atmosphere of provential simplicity. It is opened everyday from 7.00 a.m. to 13.00 p.m. except Monday.

Saint-Honorat island is the smallest island out of two, which was inhabited by monks for a long time. Don’t miss the chance to visit the beautiful chirch and enjoy or join the praying and signing of the monks.Have a look on the old abbey of the Lérins and climb on its top. Have a look at the castle which was built to defend the island and the monastry. Finally, feed the hungry fishes and enjoy the promenade on the island :)
