I hate hidden gems, but not for the reason you might think. In the world, people tend to find something good and follow it blindly, buying games, watching movies and tv, etc. when something just as good or better is left in the dust. For instance, while everyone who loved tower defenses got Dungeon Defenders II or OMDU, there was a little game called “Fortified!” that is just as fun, in my opinion. Yet, bigger titles take them over. It’s not fair at all. These people pour their heart and soul into making these games/movies/tv shows, and they get only a couple of people enjoying it because everyone would rather have the latest in popular entertainment. So I guess if I think about it, I really just hate people who blindly follow instead of looking at other options.
