mack and will play against each other in boston, during their first face off, they realise they're true mates. they don't tell anybody but they get together and mate during the year. at that point, will is already drafted by the sharks and at the end of the year, mack is as well. mack goes to play in the nhl the next fall while will stays in boston for one more year, actually wanting to finish his degree and play with the bc line for one more year.

in san jose, mack creates a place for himself during the first year. as one of the few omegas in the league it's not really easy but he makes it work. he's known as an independent and strong - not really un-omega like but just himself. he gets along with the rest of the team just fine (the vets are all really overprotective of him as he's the only omega on the team and also sometimes just way too hard on himself). it takes some time before the other players finds out that he's mated. not that mack hides it, he just don't speak about it that freely. he doesn't say who he's mated to, just that they met while in boston and that his alpha is still in boston until he can move with mack to san jose.

the next season, will finally joins the team. they don't announce their relationship to the rest of the team, it does not even cross their mind that it's something they could do. so the other players just see their generational wonder of a rookie to act so weird around the new guy. he is clingy, lets himself manhandled and even lets will to actually take care of him - unheard of one macklin celebriny. they're also absolute magic on the ice together.

chapter 1/?, aged-up characters, veteran player will and rookie mack, career ending injury, getting together codependency

They returned on the ice for the third period. Not even four minutes later, it all went truly to shit.

Mack was skating towards the net, his focus on the puck, when he saw Will being slammed into the boards by one of the Pen's defensemen. Skating forward, he eyed the man, waiting for Will to get up and skate away. However, Will stayed on the ice, unmoving.

Forgetting the puck, just letting it slip from his stick in a halfhearted attempt at shooting at the net, Mack immediately changed direction and skated towards the crease where Will was still lying on the ground. Mack could hear the referees stopping the game as they finally noticed something was wrong. Finally, he reached Will, falling on his knees next to his body, searching for any sign of injury.

“Will?” Mack whispered, overwhelmed by the need to hold the man as close as possible but terrified of hurting him. With his shaking hands, he reached out and took Will’s hand in his, squeezing his fingers around the glove.

somehow, the jedi find out who the sith lord is and manage to kill him. with both palpatine and dooku eliminated, only grievous is left. desperate, grievous takes all his remaining droids and attacks coruscant. while the jedi are fighting on the orbit, the senate talks about the future of the gar. knowing the chances that the senate will make a good decision, obi-wan worked with some of the senators (bail, padmé, mon, riu atd.) on a plan b.  in the middle of the battle, bail and bo-katan comm obi-wan, who is with cody on the resolute and tell him the news. the clans finally agreed to take in all the vode, and they found a way to do it without just adopting them - a marriage between mandalorian and non-mandalorian, after which the non-mandalorian and their close relatives became mandalorians. bo-katan adopts obi-wan to her clan for his past involvement on mandalore. stating that it’s only a renewal of the adoption as obi-wan was by mandalorian tradition adopted many years ago as a child. with obi-wan and cody being in something resembling a relationship, and with cody being one of marshall commanders, they decide to marry. as the captain of the ship, anakin officiates the wedding and obi-wan and cody get married. because the republic sees clones as one entity and not as individuals, every single vode is cody’s close relative. after the wedding, bail and bo-katan tell this to the senate, and the vode move to the mandalore system, leaving coruscant behind.

a year or two after qui-gon's death, obi-wan and young anakin are sent to accompany queen amidala and her handmaidens to a humanitarian aid mission to an outer rim. on their way, their ship is attacked, and they have to jump into hyperspace without properly calculating the coordinates. their ship is damaged and they crashed on mandalore.  they are taken into custody by a group of mandalorians who quickly realise that the ship is full of lost children. the mandalorians, led by jango fett, do not trust the jedi. however, they hear out amidala's explanation and provide them with accommodation and spare parts to repair their ship.  jango's oldest son, cody, is put in charge of looking after the guests and making sure they don't wander too far away from their rooms. cody and obi-wan start to talk, and cody starts to doubt the learned dislike towards the jedi. anakin works on the ship with padmé, befriending mandalors left and right and getting lost in the ventilation system.  during their stay, there is another attempt on amidala's life. sabé, who was pretending to be the senator, is injured. before mandalorians can react, the handmaidens have it under control. they managed to capture one of the assassins, and with the help of jango, they learn who hired them. following the lead, they find out that it was the chancellor who paid for both attacks.  they gather all the evidence and present it to the senate. with the mandalorians’ support, they’re able to convince the senate about palpatine’s involvement in the assassination. angry, palpatine attacks them, revealing that he is a sith lord. they kill him the relationship with the mandalorians improves, and the jedi order is permitted in mandalorian space, and they even open a temple there with obi-wan being put in charge (which has nothing to do with his not-so-secret relationship with the future mand’alor).

i had this idea while i was researching the handmaidens for my chaptered fic. imagine mandalorians finding a ship full of very chaotic but also very competent group of kids. in no time, they're all fighting each other for a chance to adopt them.

on utapau, cody gets a message from a cloaked figure to execute order 66. after hearing the order, it feels as if his body is not his own. his head hurts, and his fingers tremble. he doesn't know what exactly order 66 is, but he feels it's nothing good and that it has something to do with the jedi. quickly, fighting his won body, he sends a message to obi-wan, one of their contingency code, telling him to run away, warning him that the whole gar is compromised. before his mind is overpowered by the chip, he is able to send a blackout code to all the gar’s comms he has access to.

then, everything turns black. cody is aware that he is alive but everything is blurred and he has no autonomy over what his body does. he is in prison that is his own body. he tries to fight it. he tried to make his body stop. and slowly, he is able to break the chip’s influence. little by little, he gets his body back. he finds out what happened and he is terrified.

cody doesn’t run away immediately. first, he gathers all the information he can, sabotaging missions, finding out what happened to the jedi, coverign their tracks if possible and helping his brothers to break free from the chips. only after that, he takes out his inhibitor chip and escapes the empire to do what he wanted since the moment he woke up - to find obi-wan, his general but also his riduur. he travels through the galaxy, visiting places he and obi-wan marked as their posible meeting points in case of emergency.

after weeks and weeks of searching, he almost loses all hope, thinking that obi-wan is truly dead. then, on a planet hidden deep in the outer rim, he finds a hidden clue that only obi-wan could left behind. he follows it deeper into the uninhibited forest and after what feels like days, he finally finds the jedi. only after obi.wan makes sure cody is himself again and not a spy sent by the empire, he reveals that he is not alone - he is accompanied by cal, a little padawan who obi-wan rescues on bracca after his master was murdered during the order 66.

together, they free more clones and gather surviving jedi, hiding on bogano - a hidden planet that could not be found on any maps. the jedi and clones create a new home there, slowly preparing to face the empire.

well. imagine that during his second or third year with the centaurs, their 1st draft pick is some eighteen year old european player (probably swedish/russian/czech, or luca works just fine tbh). and usually, some of the older players would take him in but they all have little kids or there is some other problem. they all decide that the perfect person to adopt this little hockey player is Ilya who lives all alone in his big empty house. and ilya really wanted to say no but all it took was one look at the boy and he was unable to say no.

returning to coruscant after a campaign, the 212th catches a signal coming from bracca. they try to contact jedi knight cyruss okent, who, according to the records, was supposed to be leading the attack on bracca. getting no response, obi-wan decides to take a small team and travel to bracca to make sure everything is alright with okent.  after landing, they find the remains of okent's battalion. they are attacked by separatists, and after an explosion, they get buried in underground tunnels. lost and without a way to contact their flagship, they all think it's the end for them.  suddenly, obi-wan feels a presence in the force, a presence that feels familiar and safe. with its help, he is able to lead his man out of the labyrinth of tunnels. when they get out, they find a little boy waiting for them at the entrance. no matter how impossible it is, obi-wan recognises him immediately.  due to serious injuries sustained in his fight with maul, obi-wan was put into a medically induced coma to heal. after he wakes up, the healers informs  him that he had a miscarriage. however, it doesn't seem right as obi-wan can still feel the bond with the unborn child. when he talks about it with a healer, they tell him it's just a residue of the bond and that he needs to let go. now, twelve years later, that child is standing before him. a little boy with his hair even brighter than obi-wan’s. the boy introduces himself as cal (a name obi-wan picked for him), calling obi-wan his dad. the clones are confused (especially cody because he knows about obi-wan's miscarriage. he saw the scar when they laid next to each other.)  they follow the boy to where he lived, a little house hidden beneath a large scrap of an old venator ship. they meet cal's guardian - a woman named cere, a former jedi master who after a brutal murder of her padawan left the order. cal and cere knew obi-wan was coming as they saw it in vision. cere tells them everything she knows. a twelve years ago, she landed on bracca, hiding from everybody. she saw a small ship landing and a cloaked figure placing sometimes small in the mud before leaving again. realising it was a little child, wrapped in a blanket with his name embroidered in the fabric, cere was unable to leave the baby there and took it. as the boy grows she realises he is a force sensitive with a psychometric power. using his power, he is able to identify the man who took him from obi-wan and hired a bounty hunter to leave him somewhere - the chancellor.
