I've seen very little discussion of this and after catching it and searching it seems a lot of the big tax prep software companies aren't promoting for it clearly, and it could cause big refund delays if you claim the Earned Income Credit (EIC) or Head of Household filing status.

Missing this box likely isn't the end of the world, and won't effect most people, but if you receive the EIC or file Head of Household it could create a long delay in receiving your 2025 tax refund.
