Blogging everyday has been a bigger challenge than downgrading my phone. A few days ago I came home on my lunch break and forgot my phone at home. When I got back to work and was walking to the building I realized I left it at home. I was struck with that instant panic we all have when our phones are left behind. Then I got irritated like the rest of my day would be ruined. As I was grumpily walking towards the building, I thought.... wait. It’s just a phone. I instantly felt better, the black cloud gone. It’s just a phone. I don’t call people often and rarely text. My smart phone was used for browsing the web, Facebook, app games and other time wasting activities. I am no longer worried if the phone gets left behind, though that was the only incident so far. I also noticed when I went to the store, I left it in the car. Normally it would absolutely have to come in, even though I never get calls or texts. That felt freeing in a way.
