Gaming peripheral company Razer announced yesterday that is has acquired the software assets of Ouya. Ouya is most notable as a former Kickstarter sensation that released an Android-based micro-console of the same name. Despite plenty of games media hype and a huge backing on Kickstarter, the console’s release was met with relatively little buzz and failed to make a lasting impression.

Na MadCatz en Nvidia komt ook Razer met een eigen gameconsole op basis van Android. Daarbij valt al meteen op te merken dat de console van Razer goedkoop is, maar qua hardware een interessantere specsheet laat zien dan wat MadCatz presenteerde tijdens de Gamescom van 2013.
