;; you can't flatter me like that sixjxkxndj Personally i say yes, get it. I didn't want to at first but I'd have been fired from my job if I didn't. I didnt want to because I'm scared of needles. But honestly I didn't feel anything. It was less painful than even the pinch of a bee sting. And the only symptom I had was a REALLY sore arm for the next day. Other people have more severe symptoms but I think it is important for the people around you. Just because you may not die if you get covid doesn't mean people you encounter on a daily basis won't. We all have different immune systems and some are way more at risk than others and we all matter. Especially our loved ones. I don't see the vaccine as a big deal and the whole "they'll use it to track us" argument is dumb because they already do that in every piece of technology we have lmao

Third time this week. Skrael was annoyed to see his apprentice’s bed empty once more. It was high time he had a talk with him. Whatever he had found that had captured his interest so, he would either study it properly or temper his excitement until he had a no-study day. It was not the sneaking out that he minded as much as the effect lack of sleep would have on his studies.

No time like the present.

However, as he walked past the boy’s study he caught sight of something that made him stop short. Hisirdoux was sitting by his desk, slumped over a book. The candle had long since burned down, and the boy was snoring softly. Next to his head, Archie laid curled up, also fast asleep with his tail draped over his friend’s shoulders.

Skrael walked over, quietly watching the scene. Waking him was out of the question, instead he gently picked him up – smiling a little at the mutters and huffs that escaped the boy – and carried him to bed. Off with the shoes and arranging him in a restful position. Next the duvet, pulled up to his chin.

After a moment of consideration he went to fetch Archie. The dragon was a little more alert, although not by much, and opened a bleary yellow eye as he was lifted.

”I’m putting you next to Douxie”, Skrael murmured and a black ear twitched, then the eye slid shut and he put the familiar down by the boy’s side. The glasses were askew so he carefully took them, folded them and placed them on the night stand.

There was a crinkle on the boy’s forehead, a tension in the lines of his face. Was he dreaming? Skrael reached down to gently pet his hair and after only a few seconds he seemed to relax again.

An odd feeling rose in Skrael’s chest, he felt as if he wanted to say something but he didn’t know what. It ached but not in a way that demanded attention, a sensation tha straddled the line between discomfort and contentment. Saying nothing, he quickly bent down and pressed a light kiss to his forehead, then straightened up and silently walked out of the room.
