How the world forces things
I’m currently battling with this crazy flu that has hit most people I know. But I can’t afford to be ill at this time of year as I have a lot of film work on. So I have been busy making soups and fuelling myself up with all natures goodness, while trying to get some rest in.
But we can never go through this world without things being forced on us. This afternoon I went out to buy something healthy for lunch. I ended up getting this gorgeous vegan falafel & houmous meal with a bottle of orange juice. I had an apple and banana in my bag so I didn't need anything else. As I went to pay for my meal the cashier said to me “oh it’s cheaper if you buy some crisps or snack, you’ll be saving yourself 40p”. I’m all about saving the pennies, but come on! It’s cheaper if I buy another item? I kinda like the idea of being able to buy 3 items that are cheaper than buying 2. However there’s nothing healthy about this option. I don’t want crips and I certainly don’t want any chocolate in my state. So I had a dilemma, do I save 40p and get something unhealthy or just pay for what I want. I guess I wouldn't of known if the cashier hadn’t been so nice (but i’m sure it’s his job to sell items too). Anyway I went to the shop to buy what I wanted and left with what I wanted, nothing more, nothing less. Although I technically lost 40p. How the world forces things uh?
