personally i think there's a difference between 🏴☠️ as preservation and 🏴☠️ as refusal to pay/support the creators.
they can go hand in hand, but so can preservation and active support of creators.
i'd even argue that in the era of streaming and digital licenses that can be revoked at any time, 🏴☠️ is necessary for preservation in many cases.
