The Adderall had been keeping Anya awake all night so that she could study for her English exam in the morning. Much Ado About Nothing was a very funny place, but so fucking layered that Anya wasn’t sure she would be able to capture all of them in the essay that she would have to write. The books that were lying all over her bed weren’t much help either. The more she read the more layers emerged like a giant fucking bean stalk with no end in sight.

She glanced at the clock on her wall and heard her stomach rumbling. Quietly, she got out of her room and went downstairs to the kitchen. It was a large room that had been renovated several times since the house had been built and was currently in its chic and very sleek twenty first century incarnation with marble tops and a huge island right in the middle.

Anya stopped in front of the refrigerator and pulled both of its doors the light blinding her for a moment. She pulled out a large bottle of orange juice and poured it into a glass that was sitting near the sink. She closed the door and was about to open the cookie jar when she heard footsteps. With her free hand, she flipped on the lights.
