Some of your issues you are dealing with link to amatonormativity. For example, back when I thought I was a lesbian (I'm a bi trans dude now), people used to get kinda weird when they asked me out and I turned them down. People (not just lesbians also men, it is unknown what the singular nonbinary person thought (small town)) spread rumors that there must be something wrong with me because I was single but I didn't really think I wanted to date anyone at that time. This ties into amatonormativity in that sometimes people act like it is mandatory to be dating someone when in fact it isn't and they respond negatively if you state things like that. But that is just my opinion. Obviously this is not all men or lesbians or enbies. This is just what happened to me a couple of years ago.
