Do we know if manual was on the list of internships anyone can take or did he send iida an offer. Tbh couldnt he have just not taken him either way. He gave iida a two second pep-talk of no murder but couldnt he have taken away the temptation entirely. We talk about how aizawa shouldve known but we know for a fact manual did and still went yeah sure come on down to hosu. Love the man but what was up with that
No, Manual specially sent an invite to Iida because of what happened. I can grab the screenshot of the scene after school. I think it was also a bit of test- he didn't know if Iida would even go after Stain, but he figured if he was planning it, he'd pick Manual for that and no other reason. So, once he was picked, Manual verbally tells him off doing that (not very effectively I'll admit lol I don't think he's had any students before) and then tries to make it physically impossible for Iida to run off to look (keeping close during patrols in day, lots of time in the agency office under his eye.) Honestly I think it would have worked if it weren't for the massive distraction of the Nomus attacking Hosu
