#the other day i was having a crisis abt being the most useless & least accomplished of girlfriend's partners #which is clearly a really great scale on which to evaluate myself #anyway today i'm still at some level having a crisis but like #i went rock climbing about it #and i'm pretty bitter it's as expensive as it is because i wish like hell i could go at least weekly #i'm pretty amazing at it considering how infrequently i go #but i'd really like to be good without the disclaimer #anyway #maybe job can happen and then climbing can happen also #i really need to get over this hump of believing myself to be so thoroughly unemployable that i ought to know better than to submit myself #for consideration #because frankly i do in fact have some competence at some things #anyway i don't feel ready for evaluation but my new idea is that i'm never gonna feel ready for evaluation so maybe i better just go ahead #things to work on: therapist; job; learner's permit maybe; finding/remembering something i can love as much as girlfriend loves taiko #possibly a tall order but there you have it #anyway i did some actual singing practice earlier this week #it was Rough but i was glad to have done it #and now climbing #i wish riding weren't such an impossible project now that claremont's gone #i was really good at that and i miss it a lot #anyway! documenting some faint stirrings of life or whatever #this whole job thing is an embarrassment but i don't think beating myself up about it is gonna help #i am underemployed for my age but i gotta start where i am and move forward from there
