joëlle was talking about how she loves writing "awful women" (her previous comic, lady killer, is about a 60s housewife who is also an assassin for hire) and she couldn't wait to make catwoman awful as well. i don't really know how to explain it, it was all in her tone, but i thought it was more in a sense of exploring these (awful) sides of female characters that usually aren't explored. honestly, i think we have nothing to worry about, she loves selina and isn't gonna disrespect her.
