Obsession AU

Warning: blood and cuts

I made this immediately after seeing the movie. I had to de-stress and comprehend what I just watched, and ended up drawing one of my favorite scenes from the film with my comfort character.

I literally wrapped a whole story around this drawing and the concept of the film, this scene does happen in this au but a bit different for MANY REASONS.

Dev doesn’t like how the entity is acting at the party, making people and especially Hazel uncomfortable. The entity isn’t giving up the driver seat or stopping, so in a desperate attempt, Dev forces himself to be in control of the body causing a mental fight with the entity.

Dev grabs a wine bottle, smashes it, and stabs his face twice to get it to back off. It works for a second before the entity takes back control, making it impossible to regain control of his own body. For the rest of that night the real Dev is gone, leaving Hazel to take care of some imposter instead.

The wish she made was completely selfless, her wording was just bad and Dev was already massively selfish and off in the head so it became cursed the moment it reached him.

Obsession AU

Lore for the au and spoiler for Obsession

This au takes place in their Senior year of high school. Dev never asked Hazel out in his freshman year because he was too nervous, as a result these two don’t get together but both are very in love with one another.

Dev gets accepted into Harvard so Hazel breaks the the one wish willow for Dev to find someone who makes him happy and for them to be happy together, forever

Innocent wish from someone who just wants their best friend to be find company, especially since said someone doesn’t believe they’ll make it into the same school.

I made this after my second watch of the movie, my mom saw it with me and cannot look at it

The entity does not like Hazel, it does no find her cute or interesting in the slightest. It doesn’t hate her, it simply feels nothing but an obligation to fulfill her wish.

Despite that, it did charge at her immediately after this then stopped, retreating back into the kitchen. If you’ve seen the movie then you know Nikki gets a knife too in this scene, “Dev” does the same.

Eventually the entity will start to feel genuine feelings towards Hazel after it tries to kill Winn.

This is the outfit he wore to the party they were at.

The hospital wouldn’t take him, wonder why.

I watched Obsession for the 3rd time with my extended family and I STILL LOVE IT so surprise there. Every time I watch the movie I redraw one of my favorite scenes for the au.
