It’s a severely underrated movie imo, a lot of ppl don’t like it because it isn’t as magical or crazy as other ghibli movies, but I think it’s so comforting and Inspiring, and the aesthetic of 1980s japan is a huge vibe.

nope that's all i've got! i just find it really interesting that the epithet κλειδοῦχος (key-bearer) has such different implications when applied to mortals and gods. it does sound like it's often orphic texts and the magical papyri that refer to certain chthonic gods as holding keys in connection to their role overseeing the transition between life and death, but those are two categories of texts i know very little about.
word of advice: fuck what people will/wont read and write whatever the fuck you want <3

hi do you have any art or media recs of desi gay guys or trans guys?
I can't remember any off the top of my head for trans guys. But there's def Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan and Badhaai Do in popular media for gay Desi guys.
There are many more niche movies and series out there , even on regional level. There are cute short stories on YouTube for you to look up.
Also, you may not know but that famous double take song by Dhruv is about mlm relationship and the artist is brown.
There's Salman Toor, the Pakistani artist who has many paintings which involve brown gay guys.

did you have any specific way of drawing the tattoo for the most recent commission you did? because i really like how it's shaded the same as the skin
Aaa thank you so much!! I'm SO BAD at trying to describe my drawing process, so apologies in advance 😅 but a lot of it just comes down to using a lot of layers! I usually shade skin (and anything on skin, i.e. tattoos) on its own separate layer to keep things looking cohesive! I also drop the opacity of the tattoo layer anywhere from 50%-90% so it "blends" with the skin a little better <3
also feeling the sinking loneliness of college: anyways wondla asks: what do you think eva's style would be after she is able to pick out more clothes for herself? what is your favorite peice of worldbuilding? and- thoughts on hailey turner?
🥲❤️🩹 We can get through this together, friend. I am a junior and I am not ready for all the work ahead of me. I just want to daydream about Eva Eight but I am afraid the world is against me--
Eva's fashion style? OOHH; she is a light rust color scheme type of gal-- foliage detailing everywhere. Snug linen tunics, as that is an all too familiar article of clothing that she grew up with, but still contains enough personal flare like dolman sleeves and shoulder pads. Eva would LOVE sleeveless vests! Also consider; jodhpurs. Not the boring ones for women, I’m talking male jodhpurs that slightly flare at the top (not too overboard— we need that bagginess but not much). Yes, she would wear male clothes when she’s older; that’s guaranteed. I’m sure Orbona would have certain ones that are fit for riding waterbears maybe.
Favorite piece of world-building? The biomes/ecosystems. When it is done right, the new and imaginative creatures that come out of it are spectacular! (One of the reasons WondLa will stay with me for years to come.) | think when creating/writing a story, the habitual settings are extremely important, because they shape every single character, as they are all influenced in someway by their environments!!
Now Hailey Turner is a great character, I love his interactions and banter with Eva Nine, and he has some hilarious dialogue. I only wish his character was explored more... in depth. I have said this multiple times, but I would love for us to get more info on his dad and honestly, the Toilers in general. I feel like we don't get much on the retriever way of life, which would give a lot of character and nuance to Hailey.
(Side tangent, but I was and still am confused on Hailey's race- the guy looks as tan as can be in the first illustration we get, but slowly gets more Caucasian features as the series progresses? Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things but I always imagine him in his earlier form. Also, I have seen many a post on what little Hailey Turner content is on here that have discussed him as a trans guy, and I am ALL for that head cannon. Will be drawing him with stubble and a charming binder in the future, I have to, come on.)
To wrap these thoughts up, I think Hailey is overflowing with potential, and has a very cool dynamic with Nine. I don’t see them as engaging in anything romantic over the years, but they do get closer. All that Hailey needs is a solid character arc and a sidekick animal. Mayhaps a stray dog that wandered into the retriever camp. Am thinking hard.
