MY WHY! . A lot of people assuned that I just climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro for vacation or just because I wanted to. . BUT really it was because of her. . Clementine, my 22nd sponsored 'child'. We connected when we 1st met in 2015. I was/am a nurse. And she wanted to be one or a doctor. . Well, seasons and dreams change sometimes. . Now she wants to open up her own beauty shop. . AND I am overjoyed that she is still pursuing her dreams. . You see I was sick the day before these were taken and food was delivered to her family in my absence that day. . I was told her mom was so grateful because they didn't have any food and didn't know where their next food would be coming from. . BUT GOD. Schedules were already changed but the Lord in his provision got that food to them the day before I could meet them! . You see, I only sponsor Clem at this point but this sponsorship affects her entire family. . AND to see her mom's face when she recognized me from 4.5years ago, I will never forget that. . Now, I just have to get back sooner next time! . So, when I am asked about Kilimanjaro, I need to talk about her, Clem. I got to share with her that she was actually my inspiration for this trip because I have seen how sponsorship matters, yes. . BUT, even more, I have seen how having food can change everything.
