Is anyone talking about the fact that the tracks are arranged like a queen chess piece!!! đź‘‘
Royal, beautiful& the most cunning, badass piece of the entire chess game.
🖤✨QUEEN SWIFT ✨🖤
@taylorswift @taylornation
uh oh I just shuffled folklore and invisible string came on first which means the emotions are all downhill from here
Miss @taylorswift if you see this I’d love for you to confirm my theory of the Teenage Love Triange Timline:
Seven: James’s pov, sets place when him and Betty are children and describes her abusive home
August: Inez’s pov, describing her summer with James
Illicit Affairs: Inez’s pov, I believe some time during this Inez and James began running around behind Betty’s back and Inez begins to struggle with the secrecy
Mirrorball: Betty’s pov, takes place at the school dance
Betty: James’s pov, fantasizing his reunion with Betty
This is me trying: James’s pov, I think this is meant to be a sort of confessional that he blurts out when he finally sees Betty on her doorstep
Cardigan: Betty’s pov, when James has come seeking to reconcile, she’s lamenting the good times but his immaturity and the fact that he’ll always remain with her, but they won’t work
Mad Woman: Betty’s pov, when she found out about the cheating, Inez and James are rushing into marriage, etc, and she sees the warning signs
Peace: Inez pov, she’s trying to fight for this life she wanted so badly and now it feels wrong and he feels absent.
Exile: Inez and James: this is things falling apart and the line “I think I’ve seen this film before, and I didn’t like the ending” refers to the tumultuous end of his relationship with Betty
Invisible String/The Last Great American Dynasty: Rebekah(Betty)’s pov, I believe these two are about Betty finding and losing the true love of her life and becomming the loudest woman that town had ever seen
Hoax: Inez’s pov, I think she finally left James and this is about how much pain his affairs and gaslighting caused her over the years. He’s her one true love and the only ine she ever wanted, but she can’t stay with that pain any longer.
The 1: James’s pov, this is about him lamenting the loss of his true love, but it’s up for interpertation whether that is Inez or Betty.
My Tears Ricochet: Inez pov, still hurting but she’s stronger without him
(I think Epiphany is a song of its own, telling its entirely own story that doesn’t belong here but that’s just my opinion) Also if you see this, Taylor, I love you and your music ✨💛✨
