Carl Sundt-Hansen (January 30, 1841 - 1907) was a Danish-Norwegian painter who studied art in Denmark, refused to take over the family business in Stavanger, Norway, and immersed himself in depicting the darker sides of local folklore. In 1889 he became a Danish citizen, but he continued to live and work in Norway.
