Summer is officially two weeks away from the time of this posting but, it certainly feels like it is here with us already.
This fox is an origami based on Hideo Komatsu's design. It is made with a single square sheet of paper, painted before folding.
It was a standing fox at first but, it fell in the water when I tried taking pictures over a stream. I fished it out and tried to salvage it and in doing so I realized that it might be possible to play with the now very soft paper to do something different. The white paint got a bit damaged but, mostly survived and the red re-dried without being affected.

I plan to mount them on a mossy log, much like the one pictured and make a little diorama of sorts. They are origami dragons, made each from a single square of mulberry paper, painted with acrylic paints before folding.
