She didn't make it for Christmas | Drabble
She normally didn't keep tabs on her phone, mostly
because she didn't like it all that much. Not to mention...
they had her number —
Yet when she got the first voicemail, she passed it off
as just another attempt to get her to comply. They needed
and extra room, so they wanted her to just, pull the plug.
Didn't stop her heart from racing — didn't stop her from
racing all the way to hospital to see her mom on life support.
Yet even though she breathed easy... she knew
it couldn't last forever. No matter how much
she had wanted it to.
Skin crawled, her hand slowly trembled as she lowered
the phone from her ear. She felt sick, she knew she was
going to be sick. The ground spun before her, making her
wish — making her hope that this was just a bad dream.
There was no other explanation...
She jumped when she heard foot steps behind her. She
quickly remembered where she was. The desk reformed
into one in front of her. The fan buzzed away in her ears.
She was at the Fazbear establishment. That meant Mike...
"How come you're not looking at the cameras?"
The man's voice grumbled behind her, she quickly shoved
the phone into her pocket. Forcing a smile on her lips over
at the older male. She spotted the confused look on his face
— he probably saw the phone.
"Eh... Hehe, sorry Mr. Schmidt."
"I promise I won't slack o—"
"Were they calling you about your mom again?"
The girl practically froze at the statement. Her stomach gently
turned. She turned her head away from him, ready for him to
scoff at her. Yet he didn't — instead he watched as tears slowly
built up in her eyes.
The lavender haired one B R O K E down.
"T - They... p - p - pulled t... the plug o - on her."
She had never cried in front of anyone before. Yet here she
was... bawling in front of another male. Another older male
for crying out loud. Didn't she swear to herself she would
never be swayed by any Father figures? That having one
leave her was enough?
She looked at him through the tears, she could
see the anger in his eyes. He probably was going to tell her
off for crying. That she was stronger then this — goddammit.
"They shouldn't have done that! Dammit! Who the hell
gave them the right? I thought you needed family
permission to do that?!"
She blinked up at him in confusion. She knew he was right
but why did he care? Yes he had shown concern before...
but this —
"Fuck him then! Did he even know what hell you've been
going through for her?"
Solrina looked up at him as he glared over at the doors in rage.
He looked even more angry then he did when the animatronic
were around the door. Her heart was racing at this — her head
quickly shaking...
"Mr. Schmidt it's fine... my dad has been gone since I got bit when I was six... he doesn't care about me. Or my mom... hell 'e probably thought it would be a favour to the hospital."
"He had no right Sol! Get it through your head!"
"Don't you 'Mr. Schmidt me! She was important to you!"
The only thing that was confusing her was seeing Mike so
angry like this. She finally turned her attention back to the
cameras. Her hands starting to tremble at the thought that —
"... S - She's gone... n - nothing I can d-"
— Mike had grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled
her in a tight embrace. Solrina almost dropped the
tablet she was holding. It caught her so off guard
— she almost didn't know what to do. Other then
let herself go....
Tears streamed down her face, she had never known
what it felt like to be hugged. She wanted to hug back
but her head told her that she had to escape. When she
finally stopped fighting, she gently embraced him back.
".... I.... I'm so ... so sorry."
