January 10, 1981, the underground project Radio Venceremos is launched.
The first broadcast of Radio Venceremos, Official Voice of FMLN was made, guerrilla signal that from Morazán "takes the sky by storm" with a message from the General Command announcing "a new time has begun and calls the people to make use of their right to insurrection".

Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN) Rebels pose during the Salvadoran Civil War, 1980s.
One of the main participants in the Salvadoran Civil War, the FMLN was formed as an umbrella group on October 10, 1980 and united mulitple rebel groups. After peace accords were signed in 1992, all armed FMLN units were demobilized and their organization became a legal left-wing political party in El Salvador.
