Fleur had grown tired of the rules of Ashbourne.
Clearly, nothing was going to be done be the council and with their investigation into who had burned down the church. If they weren’t going to keep up their end of the bargain, then why should she bother to follow any of the little rules put into place? She was not going to allow herself to be contained if there was no clear benefit.
Night had fallen but it was still a few hours before curfew before she could feed without technical punishment. It wasn’t the first time that she had toyed around with the rule before – bodies going missing, after all, was not an abnormality in town and why did it matter if it was her or something else? It was the outskirts of town with nearly no one around and she was hungry. Getting it from the blood bank was no longer satisfying. She wanted fresh blood and she was going to find it, one way or another.
“Oh, look what I found.” An amused smirk curled into place across her pink lips, her gaze settling on his figure. “Dinner, ready to go.”
