The Dutch airline KLM announced Monday that it would team up with the Delft University of Technology to develop the lightweight, fuel-efficient “Flying-V” aircraft. The Flying-V, as its name suggests, is shaped like that letter of the alphabet V with no central fuselage. The passenger cabins, cargo hold, and fuel tanks will live in both of the Flying-V’s wings.
