Optical illusion
Tonight's super moon triggered a recent memory. On another flight going home. I rarely sit at the window because I find it hard to actually sit for long so I prefer the aisle. But this time is was the window seat. And it was an exceptionally beautiful night. Well, at least above the clouds. I can imagine the overcast below so, yeah, not so fun probably when looking up from the ground. But oh boy, was it splendid looking down! A dome of charcoal sky and stars scattered in some sort of a 3D space. There was no above or below, neither was there any horizontal limit. Like a marvelous vacuum with stars glittering everywhere. As if you could outstretch your hand and grab one if you wanted to. Like the ship in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie when it entered the other world. Honestly, I felt at awe looking at this canvas of stars scattered across the sky. This optical illusion was just too good.
