Absolutely loooove this concept! I take it this was a hoarder situation they came from?
aww, thank you so much !!! ๐ฅน i appreciate the kind words. โฅ & you're quite correct, it Was an unfortunate hoarder situation. here's a bit of story hidden inside of my chaotic brain ; there was an old woman who found the siblings' mom wandering around outside. she put food out for the neighborhood strays, and often let them wander in and out of her home. she loved them like they were her own pets. the siblings' mother began to grow attached to the old woman, as she was very kind and very sweet. unfortunately, time does not stop for anyone, and the slow descent of the old woman's overall health became a big problem. she began to forget things ; opening the door, putting down food, cleaning the litterboxes, or knowing how many cats were inside her house. dementia and the decline of physical ability made the old woman unable to take care of these strays. the aggression and frustration that came with dementia was not great, either. the cats would frustrate her, rather than bring her joy like they used to. . . after a few years of constant property neglect and comments from her neighbors, the old woman was eventually moved from her home into a retirement community. the cats were left inside the house, and no one really came back for them. it was the work of a dutiful neighbor with a steel animal trap that the population of strays began to decrease. the siblings' mother was one of the first cats to be trapped. the three kids waited a long time to see if their mother would return, but sienna knew that things looked pretty grim, so she needed to find a way out on her own.
