“We should sleep here,” Riri replied. Her hand was petting the fitted carpet and her gaze lost somewhere there.
“Ah-ah,” MJ shook her head. “We’re not sleeping on the floor. But now that I think about it … we can do something else. Have you ever made a blanket fort?”
And for ‘we’, MJ really meant ‘I’, since she was the one who started gathering cushions and dragged the inflatable mattress they kept around in case someone crashed at their place to the middle of the room, right under the open window that was already granting them a comforting breeze.
