Well, along with Heavy Scout, as "older brother" and "younger brother", I like Engineer Scout, as "father" and "son", so I will be very glad to see something with them For example, a situation, purely as a tip: Scout behaves as "usually" (tickles from Scout "accidentally" are welcome), which brought the engineer:3
Ok, so this came out as easily the longest one yet... 300-500 words my ass >.>. Now I'm glad I chose to write your request next cause I'm able to post it not long after you posted that wonderful drawing of lee!Scout for me, so hopefully you like what I made for you as well. With number 4 as you told me.
It was a normal day, and a normal day in the RED base for Engineer meant tinkering in his workshop while someone else bothered him. Often it was Pyro who absolutely loved messing with him. Sometimes Medic who desired an invention that was outside of his field of expertise but would help his “medical research”. And other times…
“Yo, Engieeee, whatcha workin’ on?” Scout kept peeping at the blueprints spread out on the workbench, once on Engineer’s left side a second later on the right one while the older mercenary fumbled with… something in his hands. “Something for me? Not that I need anythin’, but I wouldn’t mind a gadget to play with or whatever. Or to try out something for ya, especially if it kills-.”
“Son,” Engie managed to slip a word in, “are ya bored?”
By that time Scout had stopped in front of the cork board filled with newer and older projects, eyeing them as if they could help him.
“Uh, yeah, kinda actually,” He admitted. “But also,” He skipped to Engineer, wrapped his arms around one of his and kneeled to flutter his eyelashes at him, “‘cause I know just how much you love havin’ me around.”
“Sometimes I hate just how right you can be, string-bean.” Engie jerked his arm half-heartedly, but Scout was like glue at that very moment. “But right now ain’t such a moment. Workin’ on something. Something that ain’t ready yet, nowhere near. So, if ya want it to be, better let me work now, hm?”
Scout huffed and straightened himself. He didn’t protest and although he let go of the other, he didn’t exit the workshop either. Knowing his time was limited, Engineer reached for a screwdriver, the action followed by mechanical clicking filling the area as he rushed the process, just slow enough that it wouldn’t mess his project up.
Admittedly, Scout lasted longer than expected, but still, boredom caught up to him eventually.
“Hardhaaaat,” He whined miserably.
“Mmm?” Engie didn’t look up from his device.
“Still got nothing to do.”
“See what the other’s are up to?” Engie proposed absent-mindedly.
“Already did. Nothing interestin’. Don’t even know where half of ‘em are.”
“Mhm,” Engie responded helpfully.
Not helpfully enough for Scout who returned to roaming around aimlessly with a small frown on his face. Eventually, he stopped, his gaze stuck on the other man. Engineer was now leaning on his hands on the workbench, shifting his weight from leg to leg. What he wasn’t doing, however, was holding anything. Scout could imagine his eyes were narrowed, following the complicated lines and equations on the blueprints. In other words, he was focused on something else. Scout looked a little lower. Glanced from side to side. Tiptoed closer to Engineer. Closer. Closer…
“Gh!” Engie jumped when he felt slender fingers digging into his sides, just above his hips.
“C’mon, hardhat, pay attention to me!” Scout beamed as he continued wiggling his fingers, enjoying seeing Engie bending around and trying his best not to think how it would be if the roles were swapped and he were the one suffering sides tickling fate.
He squealed when the gunslinger began wrapping around his wrist and jumped away just quickly enough not to let it complete its task.
“Hey, no dirty play!” He chuckled and switched to poking all over the older mercenary’s torso.
“D-Dahahang it!” Engie snickered, his body moving with every poke. “Scout!”
He attempted to turn around and eventually amidst all the prods and jabs he succeeded. That however opened a new possibility for Scout. As soon as Engie tried to grab his wrists once again the runner’s hands shot to scratch at the overalls-covered tummy.
“KH!” Engie jumped in place and tried to prevent his laughter by biting his lower lip. “Khhh… NAHAHAHAHA!”
“Hah! Yeah, now that’s entertainin’!” Scout exclaimed before biting his own lower lip when his cheeks began warming up. Ah, dang it…
Although it was harder in his current predicament, Engineer didn’t miss it either…
After one more wild burst of laughter he managed to gather just enough strength, both mental and physical, to straighten, push Scout away, and once his hands weren’t tickling anymore, Engie was finally able to catch those flailing wrists to hold them in place.
“Aw crap.” Scout chuckled nervously and tugged at his wrists. “Alright, alright, I’m done, promise. Just wanted to have some fun. Not my fault you are real…” He looked off to the side, “sensitive.”
“”Sensitive”, huh?” Engie grinned, his face now closer to Scout’s. “I think a more fitting word here would be “ticklish”.
“K-h…” Scout’s legs shifted in place, his eyes still looking anywhere but at the other.
“Hm, yeah. If I recall right…” Engie paused dramatically, “you’re quite dang ticklish too. Even more than that. You want to “have some fun”? Fine then. You started it and I’m endin’ it, like this…”
“Woah, woah, woah!” Scout let out panicked when he felt Engineer starting to move him.
His feet barely kept up at first as he was forced to walk backwards. He looked back but before he could really process the view, he was already shoved down onto… Engie’s mechanical lawn chair. The one that usually had six beers lined up on its two shelves. The one with a silly little umbrella. The one that was usually meant for different activities than what was about to occur.
As soon as Scout’s butt hit his designated seat for the moment it was off of it and then on it again, right after Engie ensured he would stay there and pinned his hands right next to his hips.
“Ugh…” Scout smiled nervously.
“That’s what happens when you test my patience, boyo.” Engie grinned and sat down at the end of the chair, moving Scout’s feet to rest on his lap. Seeing the other wriggle like crazy and practically falling off of the side he added, “I suggest relaxing, it’s a fine seat, no need to make yourself uncomfortable by getting off.”
“E-Engie…” Scout whined, fighting the wild smile forming on his face. “Listen, am sorry, really- really!” He squeaked when Engie got around to removing his shoes. Slowly. Slowly… He could hear a soft thud when one of them hit the floor. “Engie!” He gripped the upper, currently empty beer shelf. Second thud.
“Yell my name all you want. Anyway.” Engie removed his glove, caught Scout’s left ankle in his good hand, and brought the gunslinger close to the socked sole. “Ready?”
“No!” Scout protested, putting all his strength into attempting to free his leg. “Take that thing away from me!”
With that the mechanical fingers met Scout’s foot. That alone was enough to make him jump in place but when the mechanical whirr reverberated as they started moving? That’s when he really squealed.
“Eeek!” Scout’s hands wrapped around his left thigh trying to pull it away. “Khhhh-!” He bit his lower lip, already practically vibrating in place.
He had to admit, the gunslinger was… less tickly than he expected it to be. Especially considering it was tickling his damn feet. Still too much though!
“Awww,” Engineer cooed teasingly. “C’mon, it’s barely anything yet. It’s goin’ slow. Sooo slow…” He dragged the word out.
“Stohohop saying it like that!” Scout snickered. “Not hehehehelping!”
“Then it’s goin' good,” Engie beamed. “Told ya, just relax. It’s so slow, ya can’t tell me it’s nearly enough to really tickle you.” The vibrating fingers moved to scratch at Scout’s heel while the thumb wiggled right behind it.
“It-it- ugh!” Scout grunted in frustration. “You suhahahack so much! Gahahah!”
“Huh. Weird considering how much you wanted to stay with me just a minute earlier.”
Scout had considered getting off of the lawn chair, okay? He really had. He was wriggling more than enough from side to side to almost be able to touch the floor if he stretched out just a bit more. But what next? Engie really had a way too strong of a grip on his ankle and Scout was not in the mood to exchange writhing on the chair for doing the same on the ground. Plus, the shelf was a nice grounding item, especially considering what happened next.
“Kh- EYAHAHA!” He finally burst into a more similar laughter to what occurred usually when his feet got tickled once his arch got the focus.
“Aww, now that’s the sound I wanted to hear.” Engie paused only to drag a singular finger up all the length of Scout’s arch.
“IAAA!” Scout arched higher and higher in time with the digit’s movement. “Oh my God! KHAAH!” He screamed again when the finger moved the same way but back down. “NO! No! Not there!”
“Not here?” Engie tapped his chin as he pretended to ponder. “Alrighty then, how about here, son?”
He moved the torture device of a finger up and began tracing it from side to side along all of Scout’s toes.
“NO!” Scout squealed and covered his mouth when a loud snort escaped it. “GAHAHAH! Mmmmm- HAH! You fuck-FUHUHUHUCKING SUCK!” The toes of both of his feet wiggled like it would save them, that is until Engineer’s hand moved, caught them, Scout squealed there again, and bent them back.
Scout has never experienced tickling on his feet that wouldn’t make him downright scream at each movement. He has never felt so wrecked…
He exhaled a breathy sigh, trying desperately not to think about just how vulnerable his sole, his arch was at the moment. His knuckles turned white as he clenched the sides of the chair.
“W-What do you want, man? I said I’m sorry. Won’t bother you again when you’re workin’. Or at all if that’s whatcha want! C’mon!” He couldn’t help but giggle restlessly.
“Darlin’ all I want is to teach ya a lesson, can’t go to the past so no changing that.” Engineer grinned at Scout who did not miss the gunslinger’s fingers beginning to move once again.
“But…!” He tried to utter an excuse, maybe some sort of explanation that would inevitably fail again but alas, one self-assured stare from the older mercenary was enough to render him silent. Well, aside from the small whimpers.
Engineer didn’t give him any more mercy. His fingers dug into the very center of Scout’s arch and began tickling the spot with all he had now.
“AAAAAA!” Scout’s scream dissolved into wild laughter in a matter of milliseconds.
There truly was no mercy left, all Scout had to protect himself were his socks and squirming to vent the ticklish tension building up more and more inside him with every little tickle. He held onto the thought of those socks. It could be worse, it could be worse, it could be more ticklish…
All logic and reason were thrown away once Engineer swiftly moved his hands to the other foot, except that now his good hand was the one dancing on Scout’s sole. Scout himself? Well, he found himself half on the floor.
“NOHOHOHO, OH-OH MY GAHAHAHAHAHA-!” He wiggled in place trying to lift himself back up, or to reach for Engie’s arms. Neither of those objectives worked so instead he arched his back, wheezing helplessly and punching the floor.
“Ya really are just this ticklish, huh?” Engie was happily observing the mess of a mercenary below him. “Son, if you’re this bad on just one of your feet in a sock I’d suggest runnin’.”
“Guess you shoulda thought of that earlier, hm? Promise you won’t play with fire again?”
“WHAHAHAHAT?” Scout tried to look at his tickler through gradually wetter eyes.
“Promise you won’t try ticklin’ me again,” Engie explained in an all-too-calm voice while now digging his fingers all around Scout’s foot - arch, under the toes, heel… “Or the socks come off the next time.”
“EEE!” Scout let out a sound that could only be described as a mix of a squeal and a whimper with an added tint of a hiss. “‘KAY, OKAY, PROHOHOHOHOMISE!” He tried to squeeze his eyes shut but they flew open immediately, wide with tickly desperation.
“Good Scout.” Engie finally let go of the other’s ankle. He could only imagine the faint marks left on both of them under the socks where the gunslinger squeezed. “You good?” He held out a hand to Scout. Admittedly Scout did try to accept it but… when his trembling hand grabbed it his grip turned out to be too weak and his back hit the floor once again.
“Nggh… hhh… w-wait. Think I’m, uh, dyin’. Or comin’ back to… life,” Scout managed to utter between breaths. “Yeah, that. I think.”
Engie did not wait. He positioned himself behind Scout and, ignoring his flinch when he wrapped his arms around his waist, pulled his precious mess back up onto the lawn chair. Scout winced slightly again when he felt something touching one of his feet but soon realized the other was just putting both of his shoes back on.
“Thanks… I think. Promise I will be out of your way… in a sec or two. Just let me catch a… breath… phew, jeez.”
“Heh, no need for that.” Engie gave him one last smile and returned to his workbench with a slower step.
It took Scout a second to react. “Wait, wha..? But you said…”
“I said not to bother me.”
“You’re not botherin’ me like that,” Engie continued calmly but with that hint of playfulness in his voice as he chose his tools. “Take your time, son, rest. I’m not really upset.”
“You’re not?” Scout questioned carefully, his eyes stuck on the ceiling while his body gradually calmed down from the ticklish onslaught, though he could definitely still feel the tingling in his feet. “Heh…” He wiggled his toes inside his shoes. “Y’know, it wasn’t actually that bad…” He added quietly, “Especially with that freaky robot hand at the uh, beginning… It was weirdly gentle and… yeah…”
So quietly in fact his eyes widened when Engie actually replied, still turned away from him, now busy with sketching, “Yeah?”
“Kh-! Shut up, you didn’t hear that!”
“Pretty sure I did. You seemed real giddy back then now that ya say that…”
“I were not!” Scout protested and covered his flushed, sweaty face with his hands.
“Heh, keep tellin’ yerself that. I know what I saw – terribly ticklish feet and terribly-contained happiness.”
Scout really could not win, could he?
He flattened himself on the chair like a pancake and groaned. And maybe he really was looking forward to bothering his favourite engineer again in the near future.
That damn workshop really do be breeding ground for tickles huh xd
