Johnny’s arms involuntarily stretch over his head before he swivels in his office chair to look at you on the other side of the room, typing away quietly on your laptop with your bluetooth earphones on. He slides over to you, still on his rolling chair, and delivers a sweet peck on your cheek. It surprises you because you didn’t hear him coming closer but turn to him with a smile nonetheless. 

“Hey baby.” he greets you randomly in the middle of the day but it’s understandable because after breakfast, the both of you had gone to sit in the study room at your respective desks- him working on his graphic designing and you on the novel you were currently writing. It had been around 2 hours and when you see the time, you ask Johnny if he wants to go out to grab lunch. “

“You wanna head somewhere for lunch?” his smile widens and he nods, obviously- he could never say no to food. “KFC? Burger King? Oh we can also go for pizza!” his excitement is evident and you close your laptop before getting up and holding your hand out for him to take, he does and wigs you from behind as you walk out of the room.

“Pizza? You wanna get take-out or head to the restaurant?” you know he loves pizza which was very good because pizza was your favourite too. Johnny’s eyes light up and he nods earnestly, “Remember when you said you wanted to watch that Avengers movie? We can just order and watch that.”

The idea seems very appealing and you pick up your phone to order the food as Johnny switches on the TV to put on the movie. After doing what you had to, you cuddle beside him closer on the couch, telling him that you loved him.

“I love you too.”
