Canon mysteries: why Frisk spared me???
Like. we're in the same system now, I can ask. I have asked. I asked in canon. Multiple times.
I guess its just gonna forever be a mystery to me because I can't understand why they would. They've killed me, before. They've spared me. They'd spared everyone, once or twice. But they reset. Did it all again just to prove something. And then they stopped. I thought that angsty teenager (as if they weren't 18 by the time they brought us all back to the surface and settled down) had gotten tired or bored. had become an unsuitable playmate.
But I guess they were happy? And then came back down here after so that they could bring me too.
I still don't understand why.
And then they learned and experimented with magic (especially SOUL magic, like Papyrus & Undyne & Muffet & Alphys knew) a bunch. And then came back to my pot and. Reset me to who I was before I died: Asriel Dreemurr, holding the body of my sibling in my arms and their soul in my own (I don't remember enough about my own past or True Lab to tell you much about Chara's life after getting sick.) And they grabbed at my SOUL with such DETERMINATION (just like Chara's) and pulled Chara's soul far enough away from mine that we both existed again. And then, while still gripping our SOULS with their magic, reverted me back to this... photosynthesizing form, and put our SOULS into it.
I still don't understand why they gave me Chara back. I'm glad to have ny sibling back of course, but...
It's still a mystery to me why Frisk did any of that for me.
