Make adorable mini rose cake pops in the shape of flower blossoms. These bite-sized treats are ideal for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients: 1 box of cake mix flavor of your choice. 1/2 cup of frosting color that matches your roses. Cake pop sticks. Pink candy melts. Green candy melts. Edible green and pink food coloring. Edible gold powder optional. Edible adhesive glue.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the box to bake the cake, then let it cool completely. In a large bowl, break up the cooled cake into small pieces. Mix the frosting into the cake crumbs until everything is well mixed. Shape little balls of the mixture that look like little cake treats. You can use a double boiler or the microwave to melt pink candy melts. Put a cake ball on the end of each cake pop stick and dip the tip of the stick into the melted candy. Each cake ball should be dipped all the way into the melted pink candy. Tap gently to get rid of extra coating. Set the cake pops that have been covered on a foam block. Melt some green candy melts and mix them with some green food coloring that you can eat. To make the leaves for the roses, dip a small piece of each cake pop into the green melted candy. Set them up. Use edible pink food coloring to color some of the frosting to match the roses. Put the pink frosting in a piping bag with a small star tip. To make the rose petals, start in the middle of each cake pop and pipe layers of frosting around it in a circle. Keep piping petals on the cake pop until it's completely covered. Do this again with all of the cake pops. If you want to add a little glitz, you can brush the edges of the rose petals with edible gold powder. Add a little edible pink coloring to the edible glue. Carefully put small dots of pink glue at the base of each rose to make them look like dewdrops. Wait until the cake pops are completely dry and set before you serve them or package them. It's now time to enjoy your lovely mini rose cake pops!
