♢ YoonKook + Androids; want one?

Project WIT was never meant to be a back-up plan just in case things went South, it was their one and only option all along — a suicide mission, a ‘measure of peace’ to ensure a truce between the Mins and the Jeons after two years of war —, and Yoongi knew. He has always known.

“Gukkie, please,” 

It was the first time in four months that Jeongguk heard the nickname ‘Gukkie’ escape Yoongi’s lips and even now that his voice was breaking, the light in his stormy eyes flickering on and off like an agonizing lamp, Jeongguk thought that Yoongi looked nothing like a robot. Even on his worst days, he never did.

“Whatever it takes, remember?”

A single tear rolled down Jeongguk’s cheek. He thought that Yoongi would have cried too, if only androids could cry. 

“Command sequence,” Jeongguk began through gritted teeth, hesitantly. 

For most people, Yoongi was just a number — unit 9309, the android with the highest humanity percentage ever created, and it belonged to the Mins. For Jeongguk, though, it was a lot more than that, a lot more than a it. 

The younger gave one last look at the lighter in his pocket, their initials somehow still visible despite the signs of the times.

“Project WIT,” he continued, more confidently this time. “Begin Activation,”

He knew what he had to do.

What was the fic about? :(

It's been a while and I mostly just remember how I felt when I read it, but– it was HopeKook with side YoonKook, Jungkook was struggling with the loss of his Yoongi [minor character death but major plot point] and Hoseok was there for him in the most tender way. 

He tiptoed into his life, slowly and carefully, and Jungkook learned to move on and feel alive again. It all started when he called Hoseok’s phone number by mistake in the middle of a panic attack.

I usually don’t read fanfictions in which one of the members dies but I didn’t know back then, it just said ‘minor character death’ and I was okay with that. This one was so discreet, though; it was sweet, heartwarming, and the way it was written was almost like poetry.
