Our camping spot! Will miss you…
even if we could catch some Wi-fi. We decided to climb the stairs because basically there is nothing to do there except hiking or picking berries. We hid our bags in the bushes and it was really smart, because after we realised we would never climbed them with backpacks, cause basically there is no space. Step is around 30-40 cm length and width differs from 30 to 10 cm. We were taking breaks and enjoying views around. At some places in was really steep. Seemed like 80 degrees. You couldn't walk standing, you just crawled. First piece like this was scary, all the way I thought if I will make one wrong step I am dead. The thing I like about the mountains that you should have control over whole body, otherwise you are dead. After two day hike with backpacks this seemed nothing. The weather was perfect and we stopped everywhere to take pictures. It was nice to realise that this year it was much easier for me to hike and I think Baiba started to enjoy it as well. After 4,5 "walk" we prepared food and got rid of the tick which I found on my arm. We felt like washing hair, so we warmed up some water on a fire and I almost took a shower, which reminded me about summer time in Minsk, when they turn off hot water for weeks and you wash your body with small amount of water you boiled. I dressed warmer than last night and followed evening tradition with tea. Around 8 I felt sleepy and was hoping that this night would be less cold than the last ones. We should have woken up at 5.40 in order to take ferry further in the Lysefjord. We are starting to get used to living like this but at the same time we're still dreaming about warm beds and black bread at home.
