Alpine plant of Peru: Gaultheria myrsinoides. It is almost a ground cover, no taller than 15cm. Grows in alpine grassland nearly 4000m above sea level.

Hesperoxiphion sp. in the Andean rainforest, northern Peru. This species is slender and petite, unlike most other irises I have seen in arid or semi-arid climates.

Cyrtochilum spp. are in the high Andes of northern Peru. They are large orchids with flower spikes that stretch a few meters long.

Is this an Epidendrum orchid? It looks quite different from other Epidendrum species, particularly those long, hanging branched bamboo-like stems and leaves. (Amazonas Peru)
