Sooo I ordered a set of different colored flocking powders and I mean it was cheap but it took foreeevveer to come in and when I finally got it I realized it was less "powder" and more "this looks like someone took clumpy pocket lint and dyed it" the colors are pretty but it's not fine like I need it to be for my doll repaints. I did use one on my daughters nails and if I dump the whole pot out and scoop up the finer bits and carefully spread it out it does look good it's just tedious. So I remembered that when I cut the hair off a doll if it's not gross I keep it for future projects so I was like "hmm I wonder" and took little handfuls and started snipping the ends until I had a pile of very fine doll hair powder stuff haha. It's perfect for when I want to do shaved head looks or beards etc etc. So if you order flocking powder that sucks in a pinch chopped up doll hair will work just fine. I put Nova and Magnus aside for the time being because I've hit a wall with them. With Magnus his little crystal parts are looking more like insect eggs or something which I can probably re-work it so it works out but I have to take some time to do some sketching and planning. Nova is actually almost done I've even got her back story going like she's an alien from planet "insert planet name I haven't thought of yet here" which is mostly made up of ice which is why the inhabitants of this planet are blue in color. The ice, however, is melting rapidly and soon the entire planet will be made up of mostly water but her people can quickly adapt and evolve as the need arises so they are all beginning to grow patches of scales/gils/fins in preparation for this change. Of course this story still needs tweaking like why is the ice melting, planet name etc etc but you get the idea. I know I sound like an uber nerd but I would like to have each repaint to have a special story to go with them should they ever get sold. Anyway with her I'm stuck on what to do with her hair like should I make a wig, does she even need hair etc etc. there's also just something missing and I'm not sure what it is so I'm just going to put her on the back burner for a moment becauussee I finally got my hands on Elle Eedee! I've been wanting to repaint her for such a long time and I'm so excited to finally get to fix her up. I haven't cleaned her face up yet and I've started to cut her hair. She's going to have a little mohawky hair cut with either flicked sides or glittered sides..haven't decided yet. Anywho there's my long winded craft update ^_^

Fluffy Snow!
Hey!
Here is a really simple mani I created! This was a light blue base and I gave the tips a white edging. On top of the white edging I placed some clear coat and dipped my finger into some white Flocking Powder. This gave the tips a nice fluffy edge! I’ve not really tried flocking powder before, and the first time I did a few weeks ago, it came out very patchy! However, I found that painting…
