A little crafty witch idea for those that may not have much money, or just can’t bring themselves to spend money on gas or shipping for such an item that is so simple.
Floating Candle
You can incorporate so much for your spells in this.
Supplies:
✨ Jar
✨ Water
✨ Cooking oil
✨ Tea light
✨ Ink or Food Coloring
✨ Your intention
To make the floating wick: Take the wick and the tin, put away the wax. Punch a hole in the center of the tin. Pull wick through the clamp (little metal part on bottom of wick) to release it from the wax and pull back through to have it half way. Place wick through the hole in the tin. You can recycle the tin and use cotton balls or whatever you have on hand to create a wick.
To create the candle: Fill the jar with water. Color it with the food coloring or ink according to your spell/intention. Then top with your oil. Add wick. Let wick sit in the oil and absorb the oil. This is a good time to push your energy/intentions into your candle. Then light the candle.
You can get creative with your candle spell by adding herbs and crystals to the water, using moon/sun/crystal water, essential oils to the cooking oil, or anything else your imagination can think of to bring strength and complexity to your spell.
