Any ideas on how to get a wig to get kind of a floating look? I'm planning on cosplay as Ultimate Madoka and I thought it would be cool to try to achieve the look in the anime rather than just having the hair lay flat.

These tutorials are good reference for structure building:[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] But because of the length, you may also want to look over these rapunzel wig tutorials:[ 1 ] [ 2 ]If it’s for a convention, you’re going to want to be careful with how wide you make it! You still want to be able to fit through doors and you don’t want to block hallways or constantly bump into people! (If you don’t bump into them, they will bump into you.) If you make the wig very cumbersome, it might be best kept for the masquerade only. Also keep in mind that building onto a wig will add weight, and can be uncomfortable to wear! Test your wig as you go so that you can fix problems as they happen.Hope this helps!
