#fliqpy x lumpy

I’ve made fanart for Nit in the past and I couldn’t help myself. Had to draw them again. They’re too cute and silly.

Anyways, here’s some fanart for @t-nartin

I think another one of my reasons for loving Flumpies so much is because Lumpy and Flippy/Fliqpy are a total disaster couple. Think about all the episodes that star or even feature Flippy/Flippy and/or Lumpy. You just know everyone’s about to die as soon as either one of these two show up. I like to think they cause unintentional mayhem wherever they go. (Intentional if it’s Fliqpy)

Guess you could say it also features Fliqpy but I don’t really count Flippy and Fliqpy as separate characters. Design wise, he doesn’t change much from Flippy besides the eyes, eyebrows, and teeth.

And also yeah, even with their human designs, I wanted to keep the headcanon of Lumpy being some sort of father-like figure to Flaky because the family dynamic potential goes hard. I tried making my Flaky look a little more androgynous because I headcanon them as nonbinary. These two are so father and child coded, it’s silly. They’re silly. I love them.

Also I don’t have a human name for Flaky yet but I do have human names for Lumpy and Flippy. Larry and Frank. Those sound dumb at first but I promise you if you think about it for more than a few seconds, the names fit. I had a silly idea that for human Fliqpy, it’s just Frank but with the F lowercase. So it’d be frank. That idea was a lot funnier in my head.

I updated my human design for Flippy/Fliqpy so I’ll have to post about that sometime soon, refine it a little.

Art style is heavily inconsistent but I wasn’t really like. Caring about how they turned out. I was just drawing. I’m just here for the sport, man. Anyways time to over explain my doodles

I’m a little disappointed with myself as an elite expert on the cute as fuck ship known as Flumpies. I draw Lumpy with Flippy a lot but I’ve barely drawn Lumpy with Fliqpy. Fliqpy is also a part of this cute little love V! (Although the idea of Fliqpy third wheeling is funny, I think it’s cuter that he’s a part of this as well). I like to think Lumpy and Fliqpy’s dynamic is a little different, like they’re kinda opposites but they have a mutual understanding of each other. (That means it’s slow burn, my favorite type of ship dynamic!) It’s also funny to think about Fliqpy being like…what, in his early forties and STILL denying feelings. Middle aged men ships are magical, guys. I love them. Old man yaoi hits different.

Second one, it’s supposed to be Lumpy helping Flippy through a panic attack. It’s a little bittersweet, but it’s always been a headcanon of mine that Lumpy is pretty good at reading people’s emotions and helping them through heavy moments like this. He can talk someone through a panic attack but universe forbid you ask him what 1 + 1 is. (Don’t ask him, btw. He will combust).

And lastly just some headshots of my human designs for the both of them. I’m still kinda playing with Flippy’s human designs a little so some things are subject to change with him. Same with Lumpy actually! Humans are hard for me to draw so I don’t draw them super often. But I’m happy with how my designs came out.
