“It’s over.”
“What?”
“You heard me, Ichiro.”Â
Ramuda licked his lollipop, a tutti-frutti pink one, like usual. His expression was blank, as if he didn’t have any emotion to show. Ichiro wasn’t used to that.
“Why?” was the only think the boy could say.
“Because I’m tired. Playing with a brat like you was fun for a while but it got old really fast.”
“Playing? Is that what everything was for you?”
“That’s right. Come on, Ichiro, did you really think lil’ ol’ me would be actually interested in someone like you? Try and use your brain for once,” Ramuda smirked.
“You... You’re lying. I don’t believe you.”
Ramuda scoffed.
“Why not? Okay, I know, it must hurt to be dumped like this, but I’m telling the truth. I never loved you. I was just using you for fun.”
“No, there must be a reason behind this. This is not you, Ramuda. I know you.”
Ramuda’s expression changed into an angry one.
“You don’t know me at all!” He yelled.
Ichiro’s eyes widened. Ramuda had never screamed at him. Not even in the rare occassions they had arguments. He was shocked.
“So this is how it ends. And be grateful that I’m taking the time to break up with you. The Dirty Dawg is no more. I was planning on just disappearing of your life, but I decided to give you at least a goodbye.”
“No, I don’t want to say goodbye. Not now,” Ichiro said, clenching his fists.
“Well, it’s not your decision to make. Goodbye, Ichiro.
“Wait, Ramuda!”
But Ramuda had already left. He walked through the door and closed it on Ichiro’s face as if it was nothing.
As Ramuda walked out of Ichiro’s place, he swallowed dry. He gritted his teeth and put all of his efforts onto stopping the tears from coming. After all, he had taken his decision. And it was for the best. Ichiro deserved someone better than him.
