Takako is the mother of Shirase, one of the protagonists, and she died during a civilian expedition in Antartica. We learn more about her through the memories of her daughter and the crew from the past expedition, amongst which Gin is, as they all try to make another trip there possible.

Gin is a pretty closed-off character initially and it's hard to know what she's thinking but we get to discover bits more as the story progresses and both her and Takako are pretty passionate and cool characters! They've known each other for a long time and shared a dream together.

The most notable part for them is a long flashback in an episode where Takako has Gin meet her daughter and get the both of them to hang out together. Huge "single parent introduces their significant other to their child" vibes.

It was the day after I beat Dawntrail last year [8/7/25] and in my mind I was like "ok yup, Estinien will propose now." and even put the date in Atlas' lore document :P

Celeste was Adrian's mentor as managers in the showbusinness and we're introduced to her by learning about her tragic death. It's in the context of investigating Adrian's potential involvement in a crime scene, because the circumstances of Celeste's passing are giving her strong motivations for some form of revenge towards both the victim and defendant of the case.

Though we get to know little on Celeste's character, her relationship with Adrian and Adrian's codependency towards her are very interesting. It's easy to read a romantic lense in the intensity of Adrian's feelings and the actions she ended up taking for Celeste, both right after her death and during the case following it.

Going in with Amuria/Neviril from Simoun where, "spoiler" Amuria disappears in the very first episode, to haunt the narrative and Neviril for a good part of the story.

They are priestess partners piloting a mecha used for magical prayers, but the beginning of a war push them to use their skills for battle, during which a risky move will lead to Amuria's end. We only get to see her in that first episode and one or two flashbacks but her strong personality shines through those and makes it easy to see why Neviril is devastated by her disappearance. Amuria was intense and knew how to push Neviril's buttons.
