BGHQ for the bookish ask!
B. Best Sequel Ever
Iâm having trouble thinking of series besides Harry Potter or Percy Jackson⊠Can I say Mark of Athena from the Heroes of Olympus series? I mean, itâs the 4th bookâŠbut thatâs technically still a sequel, right? In any case, that book was definitely a stand-out. (Iâll update you if I can think of anything else later, lol)
G. Glad You Gave This Book A Chance
The Book Thief. My mom told me to read it years ago and I wasnât interested in it until a couple semesters ago. Itâs so good!
H. Hidden Gem Book
Not sure how much this is actually a hidden gem, but (from what Iâve seen) not a lot of people talk about it, so Iâll say it counts. The Song of Achilles. The Song of Achilles. The Song of Achilles.
Iâve also been reading The Thing with Feathers; itâs a researched/anecdotal book about birds! Itâs really interesting and very cool so far. Birds are NEAT.
Q. Quote From A Book That Inspires You/Gives You Feels
âHarry, you wonderful boy. You brave, brave man.â
-HP and the Deathly Hallows
Not inspiring, but definitely gives me the feels. I always bawl at this point in the book. We grew up together, he started out as a little boy and now heâs a man who sacrificed himself for his friends⊠He just means a lot to me and this quote kind of sums all of that up perfectly?? (Iâm getting really emotional just thinking about this)
Thank you for asking!!
Cannot unsee Arianna and Ras doing bad impersonations of each other now
Especially when bickering
Complete with exaggerated facial expressions
flightyclouds replied to your post:Idk if I should take Drawing for Animation or...
I guess the questions would be 1. which one is easier for you to learn on your own, 2. which would be easier to take another semester? Maybe you should ask a professor? *doesnât know*
True. Blaghhh, I'm pretty torn right now! I guess the drawing thing I could work on on my own... But then I also imagine the drawing class is pretty time consuming, and I'm actually taking a lighter load next semester... But who knows how much work the game dev class would actually be either??? AGH.
You know, I just thought of someone who might have taken the Intro to Game Dev class... I'll ask her and see how the workload is.

BUT I ALREADY HAVE FOUR CHARACTERS IN SUFFER AND I'M WORRIED ADDING MORE WOULD OVERWHELM ME *CRIES HIDEOUSLY*
8. Whatâs the best piece of feedback youâve ever gotten?
I really donât know that I could narrow it down to one piece. Each bit Iâve ever done has just built on the rest of the story as a whole. But if I had to choose one very helpful piece ⊠itâd be this extremely long conversation I had with a guy about Epic Fail (fantasy-parody-novella). We broke down the basics of comedy for Epic Fail, and I think that advice made the current outline fifty times better.
 9. Whatâs the worst piece of feedback youâve ever gotten?
Sooo I posted a chapter of EG on an online writing classâs forum. Another user posts a review, first announcing that he hadnât bothered to read the previous ones, so his reading was entirely out of context. Rather than offer constructive criticism, he complained that the chapter was longer than it should be for a submission, and fleshed out his required wordcount with quoting my lines out of context without suggestion as to what to do with them. (Yes it still bothers me how could you tell? XD;;)
 10. Whatâs your biggest writer pet-peeve?
(besides the abovementioned criticism without context) Buildups that go nowhere or somewhere disappointing annoy me, possibly more than an unpolished manuscript.
 40. Which is your favorite original character, and why?
Jethro. His personality is just so much fun, even if he is a massive dork with far too much arrogance. (Alec is a close second.)
 41. What do you do when characters donât follow the outline?
Fight them for a while, and then (as in Karaâs case) give them a bigger role, or in other charactersâ cases, see where they take the story.
 42. Do you enjoy making your characters suffer?
 43. Have you ever killed off a main character?
Yes. My first series involved about half the large group of teenagers meeting with violent and untimely demise, many of whom were MCs or POV characters. (I donât do that anymore I promise)
 44. Whatâs the weirdest character concept youâve ever come up with?
This one was from a collaborative effort ⊠A friend and I had a race of people that, if they lost control of their powers, would turn morally dark, unstable, and their magic could conceivably be considered âevil.â They also could turn ordinary people into one of their race by healing them ⊠consequently there was much drama over people getting hurt so that they basically were all this immortal, unstable race by the end of the story. Oh, and the kicker: this race was descended from an incredibly ancient vampire. (No they werenât vampires.)
 45. Whatâs your favorite character name?
This is really hard ⊠I like the name Liam (too bad that I gave it to a total douchebag character haha)
Thanks for asking!! :D
Arianna, 4, 22, 35!
4. What kind of drunk is your character?
"You know whatâs incredible? BulgariaâŠcaught the SnitchâŠbut Ireland won."
With a completely intense face and slight gesticulating at the addressee with her beer bottle.
(Sheâd also be more willing to talk emotions so if there was something you wanted to know, that would be your chance.)
22. What kind of roommate would your character be?
Kind of persnickety, really clean, but not totally unpleasant - at least to someone who knows sheâs a sarcastic jerk, because Iâm sure sheâd say things like, "Keep your crap off the dining room table" and "Thereâs a REASON youâre supposed to put your keys in the bowl by the door."Â Sheâd mean it, obviously, but at least to a friend it wouldnât sound as bad. xD
I think sheâd cook pretty well too, which Iâm sure would be nice. I can see her and her roommate chilling on the couch watching TV and eating bowls of spaghetti.
35. What is your characterâs handwriting like?
Round and short - like a lot of letters are around the same height, but theyâre pretty stout. Not very cramped. More space there than anything.
