“Just book me before my other students do.”
(fantasizing about throwing them all into the prop so I’m his only student.)
“Okay.”
I’m preparing things for flight school and it is NOT easy, shits nerve racking but this is what I want to do (all my friends are uni students and 😔 their tuition is more expensive, would not want that £30,000 tuition.)
Anyway, guess who just found a black flight suit

Someday I’m gonna have a whole collection of aviation memes, but right now it’s just these.
So I’ve been analyzing some of my flight data from Saturday, trying to see where I need to focus on improving for my next round and just generally trying to figure out how this particular plane acts as well.
I realize now that I probably should have increased my rate of climb on my leg home, there were a few times where my climb felt like I was getting nowhere (course the headwind didn’t help :’D) I was a bit focused on trying to understand the radio chatter as well as paying attention to the plane’s somewhat high RPMs. Or so I’m guessing it was. the meter was at the end of the green range for RPMS @ 25000, then bouncing between 25200 briefly and back to normal. It caused what I thought was a bit of engine roughness (then again this plane didn’t have carb heat & it was hella humid, or perhaps just an old engine?) but my instructor said it was good. Tho I now wish this plane had a varying pitch prop so I could give that poor engine a light break :’D
On top of that, our altimeter was reading wrong (?) the entire flight ??? We were told by one of the towers to correct our altimeter which was supposed to read 5500 ft, but according to this data from two airports, we were flying much lower at about 2300ft, I’m curious as to whether the constant flux in airpressure/ temperature/humidity/rain & ground elevation had all played a roll in that. I’ll see on my next flight up, on a day with better weather hopefully. If there proves to be an issue, I’ll have to let our mechanics know cause that 200ft misread could mean everything in the event of potentially nasty landing conditions.. and also explains why my glide slope seemed too high for my taste, I rarely flare high enough to trip the stall horn :t
Maybe dummie me is just over thinking things as usual, but at the same time, I want to know all this nitty gritty good stuff, I want to understand this airplane & all it’s quirks. <3
