Flickr takes you through a lot of images and if its unorganized it could turn messy. Images take a while to load as well, plus a browser could have some pain with loading more stuff than needed.
So here come Flickrology, a Windows 8.1 app which gives native Windows experience, I just checked and they have an app on the Windows Phone too!
The app has been made beautifully keeping into account a Modern UI pattern to bring your Flickr services to your desktop as well as Windows Phone. We had a look through the application and its really well made to move around quickly as well as some services better than Flickr themselves. The data is less hassle free and easy to understand with the integrated hug pages and statistic charts.
Live tile has always been a heads up for Windows and here the developers made sure they get most of what they can on the tile for users along with in app transitions this app is one of the most admirable Flickr clients seen on the Store.
Features:
Beautiful panorama-based app Pagination and incremental loading support Search support, inside and outside of the app: photos, groups and users Charts for data analysis Pin content to start screen (NEW!) Live tile with custom photo sources Maps supported by Bing Maps Shortcut management Organize (like Flickr) Manage all Flickr content (photos, galleries, photosets, groups, discussion topics, etc.) Image and video support Save photo to local storage and OneDrive Upload to photostream, group and photoset Share support (upload from another app) (NEW!) Photo editor Page transitions Unauthenticated mode Language support (English and Portuguese) Flickr Pro free access Notifications
So is this all enough ? Want more? The developer has indeed promised a bunch full of features and they need help with the languages too, so if anyone is interested please do ping them.
Future Updates:
Add mobile payments (for whatever in-app purchases are enabled in the app) Add more editable filter properties Add icons to EXIF data Add whatever new features that can be done through improvements made to the Flickr API (adding and remove contacts can’t be done at the moment, for example) Allow HTML content to be viewed correctly (it’s not supported at this time) Unlock all features for everyone, leaving only the option to remove ads Add more languages (HELP NEEDED HERE) Make sure the app runs smoothly in Windows 10 Add whatever new features are enabled with Windows 10 Port the app to Windows Phone 10 by using the Universal App template
