Early Prybar Prototype:

I was asked about the Prybar a lot over the last few days. This had come up in various conversations after the talk of the knife we had designed for Law Industries. (View Here)

The Prybar had been a long term working project involving a lot of testing by various teams around the world. This was originally going to be made in partnership with oscardelta but sadly the time scale ran on and we both had moved onto other projects in different directions.

There was a limited run of these made, and I still believe OscarDelta has on loan, one of the original samples of this. There should be none of these in the wild but if you do see them, please be kind enough to let me know as they are not authorised as a production item and certainly no one has a licence to produce them.

As far as tough tools go, this proved to be a fantastic item, the rear glass breaker also makes a great compliance tool, the rear hole acts as a lanyard position. The large hole only shows it was a prototype item so ignore that. The other two holes allow a cord to be tied around for a grippy handle.

The front tanto point penetrates incredibly well, and the whole length aids in good leverage for prying. The other edge can be sharpened as a knife edge or even just for slashing. As it stands, its great for splitting! You can wedge doors open with it, or wedge them closed.

The original models were made from Nicholson files, and a few of those surface on the internet regularly. Its a great all round tool, but it has been shelved as we can't product it in the quantity required.
