Randy “Seed” Appleby, surfer, shaper, contest organizer, realtor and unlikely small town politician, passed away on March 9th at his Seaside Park, NJ, home. He was 44. Known as being the patent holder for his “flex tail” surfboard technology, “Who? Sticks” surfboard brand, radical waveriding philosophies and his penchant for wearing black, Seed was indeed a Seaside original.
